In low doses it helps my focus and some executive function. I get use to it though, and since I have mild bipolar I can’t take a higher dose. It helps my mind feel more focused and calm, and that’s what I’ve heard from others. Less irritating than adderal.

I've been on it for almost 6months now and I find its effectiveness varies. I'm looking for another option but I was given ritalin as a child and it sent me off the walls so they won't retry anything in that realm

If you find the proper dose and medication for you there should be a proper balance between focus without being manic and without significant side effects. Taking medication every day is very important if you are inattentive type and drive. Managing my adhd improved immensely when I lowered my dose but took it everyday (at my doctor’s recommendation).
