Using a clean, trash or stash policy, I can avoid doing any work for my job for days and leave work to the last minute. Is my problem a lack of focus or a lack in direction?

I am the 100% opposite - I will hyperfocus on work projects while the piles of laundry and dishes grow and grow and… also curious about the “clean, trash or stash” policy?
I find this for me is that I know I work best under a time Crunch, and I find procrastination is a tool to access that.
