The importance of being correctly diagnosed
For 40 years, I have been accepting that my environment labels me as lazy, absent-minded, restless… lowering my head and accepting their directives, criticisms, and comparisons, carrying the burden of their pace and results, believing myself to be less capable. The family business went bankrupt, and I had to go out and look for a job, and to meet the standards, I am paying for it with hours and a lot of discomfort. This week, I made it my goal to seek out a professional and finally find out my diagnosis and start living with ADHD as a potential rather than a limitation with a lot of love and self esteem. Wish me luck!
