I really like having a hand-written planner. One where I can get the satisfaction of physically crossing off tasks. At the beginning of the month I put in another full mom’s assignments into my planner from the syllabi (one month ahead of the upcoming month so I never miss anything on the cusp). I try to break everything down into smaller tasks and get them due in my planner a day before they’re actually due.
I struggle with that, too. I usually turn to some kind of automated/visual tracking since I struggle to even check what schoolwork I have. If your school uses Canvas, I’d recommend installing the “Tasks for Canvas” chrome extension. It puts a tracker on your dashboard and shows you all your upcoming assignments. You can also install an extension like “Pimp My Canvas” to make it a little more fun to check your Canvas. It lets you customize the whole application. You can also try out project managers like Monday or ClickUp, both similar to Trello. I used to use Monday a lot and it was nice. They have a free student plan with lots of nice features. Their support team is incredible also and will let you have certain premium features for free if it will help you in school. There’s also apps for your phone like “iStudiez Pro” and “Day-Today: Timetable.” They let you track your assignments as well as your schedule and iStudiez will even track your grades. Day-Today is my favorite, though, just because of how simple and pretty it is.
Try Trello, it is customisable and you can have different boards for different subjects, so you would be able to visualise what tasks you have for maths, for gym, for biology etc.
