Definitely. I’m a musician, so instrumental works for reading, but if I’m writing, the two creative modes in my brain will go off at the same time. So I’ll analyze the instrumentals while trying to craft a splendid sentence, and then I can’t focus, haha. The Lofi is like white noise, so that helps.

I’ve found that I can focus more when I use lofi music of song I love, more so than when I listen to the “actual” song itself. 

Does anyone use lofi songs to help focus?

Yes as long as I don't know the lyrics of said song... in that case I end up singing along, aloud or just in my head, in stead of focusing...
