has anyone ever heard of being an ultra metabolizer?

You process your medication faster so you need a higher dose. However, doesn’t help when regulations get in the way 🫶🏻💊

How do they proof that you have this? I've never heard of it.

I am an ultra metabolizer and I take a relatively small amount (5-7.5 mg) between three and five times a day. My adhd psychiatric nurse prescribes 15mg / 90 tablets per month. I break them in half, and we make it work. I cannot take ER meds as they metabolize weirdly in my body, building up in some ways and burning up in others. There are ways to ensure your unique needs are met and still be legal.

My psychiatrist just told me I might be a fast metabolizer for adderall. Thinking about switching to something else

Is this linked to a so-called ‘Concerta Crash’? My Concerta meds would wear off super fast and leave me feeling 5 times worse than if I had taken nothing. I’m pleased to report I have other meds now but those were not happy or productive times.
