ADHD and parenting

Anyone have ANY tips on emotional regulation with an overly active and boisterous toddler? I’m overstimulated and “done” by 1pm….

Is very hard meditation early in the morning b4 the kids get up is very helpful even if you only get an hour to yourself I get up at 5:30 nd my grandson don’t awaken until 8:30ish so I get a few hours I shower I meditate I read and I write my thoughts from the day prior and what I’ve just absorbed during meditation nd reading even other things like running out of soap from my shower that morning you gotta find your success formula!

I have found that practicing deep belly breathing myself has helped. I have even narrated what I am doing and sometimes my 2.5 y/o will do it with me (“Deep breath in the nose, hold it, out through the mouth”). Granted this does not work all the time, but they watch us more than we realize

I wear earplugs to cut down on at least part of the stimulation.
